Making Fruit Salads


Salads can be made from a variety of things such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, pastas and more. These can be easy, quick and by far nourishing. Summer and salads go hand in hand, easy to store, make and carry for picnics and parties.


Try the following for a change this week:


Citrus Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges , peeled and sectioned

  • 2 Grapefruit, peeled and sectioned

  • 2 mandarins , peeled and sectioned

  • 2 limes, peeled and sectioned

  • 400 g of tender spinach

  • 120 g of blackberries

  • 20 g of toasted sesame seeds

  • 2 avocados , cut in eights


Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of yellow apples

  • ½ liter of cream ( Soy cream can be substituted)

  • Condensed milk to taste

  • Canned pineapple to taste

  • Nuts to taste

  • Raisins to taste

Preparation

  1. Peels the apples and cut them into medium cubes

  2. Mix the rest of the ingredients and add them to the apples

  3. Refrigerate

Vinaigrette

  • 4o mil of honey

  • 4 oranges , juice only

  • 10 g of powdered ginger

  • 20 ml of apple juice

  • 2 limes juice only

  • 80 ml of olive oil

  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Place orange juice on low heat with the honey and the ginger

  2. Mix in the oil and let sit

For The Salad

  1. Place the pieces of fruit and the other ingredients decoratively on the plate

  2. Drizzle with the vinaigrette and sprinkle with the sesame seeds

  3. ENJOY!
