Tips to Have a Safe and Joyful Holiday

First we want to wish you a happy holiday and season greeting. This is a great time of year to celebrate and reflect on the year that is about to end. Many of you will be taking to the roads or airways so that you may be with your families and friends and we have a few tips for you.

What to Pack

Start your packing mentally by making some clear cut decisions on what to bring.

First pack patience, joy, kindness and some cheer because you are more than likely going to run into delays at the airport or traffic delays on the highway. Stay happy and don’t get unraveled when this happens because this will rob you of a joyful time.

Second, give yourself extra time to arrive at your departure destination if you are flying out.

Third, prepare a playlist so that you have songs to help you celebrate and stay in the holiday mood.

Fourth, be kind by giving to others that you may come in contact with. That may be as simple as a wish or a smile to warm someone's heart and in turn warm yours.

Health Tips

Nourishment is also important so it is always a good idea to eat even a small meal before leaving home and pack snacks or some fruit that are not loaded with salt or sugar. There are a lot of healthy snack treats available on the market. Wear your mask because Covid, Flu and RSV are on the rise Stay hydrated and sip on water throughout the day. Check the weather before leaving home and dress appropriately. Do follow these recommendations to maximize your chances of staying safe, happy and healthy.
